How to Make a Music Player on Minecraft with Redstone

This is a tutorial on how to use note blocks and redstone to make songs or special sounds. Once you understand the basics of Redstone Music, you can create countless songs.

Basics

Use the red stone logo to reproduce the sound. Right-click to change the pitch of the notepad. Remember, redstone dust will activate all the blocks around it, not just one block. Always remember that you need to leave a space above a pile of notes.

Tips

Be careful with water, as it will destroy the red stone when touched. If you have a lot of redstone, it may be helpful to color code or mark which part will do what if it breaks. You can use the piston to start/stop the song. You can use the start/stop button instead of the joystick. You can make a song with a specific part, and the part will repeat until the signal arrives and continue to play the next one. This can be achieved by making a closed loop using redstone, repeaters, and note blocks, and using a funnel timer to count when to open the loop and continue playing the song.

Redstone can be played multiple times by lining up repeaters and note blocks. Another method is to place the note block under the detector rail so that you can play the song of your choice while driving. Real Music Translation When making redstone music in Vanilla Minecraft, it is very helpful to know how to translate sheet music found online into real note block circuits. The two main elements of music are rhythm and pitch. The beat is determined by the number of repeaters you place before/after the note block and the number of ticks you set them, while the pitch is determined by the number of times you right-click the note block. Once you know how rhythm and pitch relate to ticking sounds and note blocks, you can create countless songs.
